When the contact switches position the sensor will wirelessly communicate the change back to the WSG30 and users will receive an alarm via text message or email. It is ideal for monitoring the alarm outputs of other devices such as a UPS, industrial refrigerator or freezer, or security system. The sensor includes two AA alkaline batteries which will power the sensor for up to two years. An optional plug-in power supply is also available, in which case the batteries then become a backup if the main AC power fails.
