Product Description
Research grade accuracy
- Measures soil moisture from 0 to 100% VWC
- Uses a 70 MHz frequency, which minimizes salinity and textural effects, making the MAS-1 accurate in almost any soil or soil-less media
- Factory calibrations are included for mineral soils, potting soils, and rockwool
- Set high and low limits by programming the Sensaphone
- Sensaphone will go into alarm when soil moisture level exceeds limit
- Delivers research-grade accuracy
The Sensaphone Soil Moisture Sensor will measure and provide real time moisture values to any Sensaphone that accepts a 4-20mA signal. When the soil moisture level falls outside of the Sensaphone’s programmed high or low limit, the user will receive an alarm which displays or reads the current moisture value. The sensor determines volumetric water content (VWC) by measuring the dielectric constant of the media using capacitance/frequency domain technology. It minimizes salinity and textural effects, making it accurate in almost any soil or soil-less media. Factory calibrations are included for mineral soils, potting soils, and rockwool. A 24V DC power supply is required to power the sensor (Part # FGD-0070).
